Requirements and different supports

ALTUS courses are tailor-made and adapted to the landscape and terrain available therefore each course is unique.

All our courses can be built on natural supports such as trees, cliffs or rocks or on artificial supports such as steel, concrete or wooden poles or on a combination of both natural and artificial supports.

The best location is 3 hectares (7.5 acres) or more of forest or woodland including healthy, straight trees with a minimum 30cm (12 inches) diameter. The landscape can vary from flat ground to steep mountainous cliffs and the forest can also vary from dense foliage to pine plantations or tropical jungle.
